Okay, I’m ready to shop with friends. How do I start?

Getting started is simple. When you sign up we'll walk you through a few simple steps to set you up for your new shopping experience. If you have signed up and now need to get started again, you'll see the "Getting Started" section on the home once logged in that will step you through the process again.

Can I really use Friendshopper to shop at any online store?

Absolutely, though there are a few "flash" sites on which the bookmarklet may not work. Just let us know if there's trouble and we'll fix it up. We're working hard to ensure that every store is Friendshopper-friendly.

I found an item I really like. Is there a way for me to save it?

Of course! Just use the bookmarklet to save it to your "My Items" folder.

I shop the same stores a lot. Is there a way for me to access them quickly?

When you're at the store, click the Bookmarklet, you'll see a tab at the top that says, "Add New Store". Click the tab and save any store you like to create your own, customized mall.
You may also search and find your stores from the Store Search, and can then click a link to save them to your "My Stores" page.

My friend is offline! How do I share products with him/her?

Not to worry. You can send the product to your friend using either the bookmarklet or an open chat. Your friend will get an offline message telling them that you've spoken and or shared items with them while they were away. The conversation continues as a regular one would, they can respond and keep it going until you meet online again.

How Do I add Friends?

There are two ways to add friends. There are two icons in the instant messenger. The first one is to add one or multiple friends pasting their e-mail addresses yourself, and the second is an option to import their addresses from your email address book.

Can I Shop with More than One Friend at a time?

You can have simultaneous conversations with as many friends as you like. Right now we're working on allowing many friends to shop together in one session or to add friends into an existing conversation.

How do I view my friends' profiles?

Select your friend (the blue highlight will indicate that your friend has been selected) and then click the profile icon.

How do I update my Avatar/Profile?

Click the Edit profile button at the top next to "My Stores" and make any changes you like, including changes to your password.

Do my friends see all the items I bookmark?

All of your items stay private until you decide to share them. We've got your back!

How do I update my status?

Just click the status window and it will open up, then update away.

Can I shop stores within the Friendshopper site?

You can, though we recommend clicking the "browse store" button to actually shop the store and to then use the bookmarklet to share items.
